Last Tuesday (Feb 19), I was walking out of NYC's Penn Station and decided to visit Border's at Madison Square Garden to look for magazines that I would not find at home. One of the magazines I picked was Good . From randomly skimming through this magazine, I unexpectedly found an answer to my question on what I saw last December.
Inside this magazine is a set of photos and a short article about the bicycles painted white. They were placed in various locations around the world in memory of cyclists who were hit or killed by automobiles. This explained the presence of one bicycle placed in one spot that I walked past. What's amazing about this situation is that I saw something and wondered about, and then some time later I got an answer in an unexpected manner - by going into a bookstore not knowing that I would get it. That is so cool, and I am so glad I kept my eyes and mind open to wherever I was and whatever was out there. You can find out more about ghost bikes by clicking on the photo above.
