At this time, I did some "doodlings" in this book, and have not done anything ever since. I came across it several times over the past ten years, and finally, I decided to scan the drawings. I then decided to experiment with them, and boy I did have a great time with them.
Here's page number one (above) - the first page. Just simple lines and dots. Here's another one - page number 2. I was probably fascinated with Moorish style architecture seen in the movie, Dunes . Page number three - pinkish colors used. Page number four - the bottom looks like a kimono to me. Page number five - looks like an arrow pointing downward. Page number six - cross hatches and crosses used - very quilt-like. Page number seven - architectural studies & experimentation. Page number eight - facial expressions. Same page - more facial experssions. The photo above was created using the pattern found in the first page. I changed the original colors three times and created a four-square pattern. I duplicated the new pattern three more times. And darkened the colors. And duplicate it three times - very interesting effect each time I duplicate. I took another pattern from page number five, and darkened it. I then duplicated it several times and got a bargello-like pattern. I used the same pattern but cropped and enlarged it. And made a negative out of it and duplicate it three times. More duplications...
Just perfect for use as banner at the top of this post. Good thing I didn't discard these doodlings... &rew http://www.blogger.com/profile/00091737078501203562 noreply@blogger.com
